Each year, our department is proud to recognize and celebrate the academic achievements of our top undergraduate students through the following suite of honours, awards and prizes:

40th Anniversary Undergraduate Alumni Scholarship in Economics

The 40th Anniversary Undergraduate Alumni Scholarship in Economics is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student entering third or fourth year in the Faculty of Arts, majoring in the honours program in economics, and is awarded on the basis of academic merit.

Don Mazankowski Bursaries in Economics and Political Science

The Don Mazankowski Bursaries in Economics and Political Science is offered annually to continuing undergraduate students entering third or fourth year in the Faculty of Arts, majoring in political science or economics. They must demonstrate exceptional leadership ability within their extra-curricular activities involving community service.

Dr. Lawrence W. Copithorne Memorial Scholarship

The Dr. Lawrence W. G. Gordon Clarke Bursary

The G. Gordon Clarke Bursary (formerly The Ziff Energy Group Bursary) is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student majoring in economics, and is granted on the basis of academic merit and financial need.

Nominees must have completed at least one of the following courses with a minimum grade of B+: ECON 323: Natural Gas Markets, ECON 325: Petroleum in the North American Economy, ECON 327: Petroleum in the World Economy, ECON 475: Economics of Natural Resources I, or ECON 575: Economics of Natural Resources II
