Most relevant scholarships and awards are listed at the U of C scholarships page; all candidates who are eligible are strongly encouraged to apply. Listed below are some others that have not been included on that page:

EDC International Studies Scholarship New in 2001 and funded by the Economic Development Corporation, this annual scholarship of $3000 is offered to undergraduate students in second or third year who are pursuing studies in business or economics. The award will be based on academic merit, initiative and leadership potential as well as a demonstrated interest in international business and/or international relations. Knowledge or study of additional languages is required. To be eligible students must be Canadian citizens or hold permanent resident status for one year prior to submitting their application.

Application forms available from Student Awards Office or Faculty of Management. A 500 word essay is required.


Institute for
Humane Studies

Approximately 90 scholarships covering tuition and stipend are awarded each year to advanced undergraduate and graduate students. Awards are granted to students pursuing degrees at any accredited domestic or foreign school and are based on academic performance, demonstrated interest in classical liberal ideas, and potential to contribute to the advancement of a free society.
