  • Degree Requirements for the BA in Economics

    6.1 Economics Requirements
    6.2 External Requirements
External Requirements of the Department of Economics
External Requirements of the Faculty of Social Sciences

Graduating with a Major in economics requires that students meet the degree requirements of the Faculty of Arts and the Department of Economics. For details on the graduation requirements of the Faculty of Arts, see the University of Calgary Calendar. The degree requirement is completion of 20 full course equivalents. For planning purposes it is useful to divide these course requirements into economics requirements and requirements external to the Department.

The most up to date and definitive statement of degree requirements is found in the University of Calgary Calendar, which is published annually and is readily available. Every effort has been made to ensure that this explicit syllabus is consistent with the Calendar, but in the event of a conflict the Calendar takes precedence.
