| ·Announcement: New Expanded Writing Program: The Department of Economics has expanded the writing program following the great success of the program that was introduced last year. You may be wondering, "What does writing have to do with economics?" The answer is that a large part of what economists do is write. Although we tend to think of economics as involving problem sets and equations, the fact is that the results of economic research must be communicated effectively.
